On Friday , At the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, the local unit opened at 70.05/06. It moved in a range of 70.06/07 to 69.7650 before finally ending at 69.91/92, up 4 pips over its previous close.
Snapping its four-session losing run, the rupee ticked higher by 4 pips to finish at 69.91/92 against the US dollar Friday.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained net sellers in the capital markets, pulling out Rs 1,245.14 crore Friday, according to provisional data.
