USDINR OPENED WEAKER @ 69.82/83


  • On Wednesday , Indian rupee opened 20 pips weaker against greenback @ 69.82/83.

  • Gap up opening directly correlated with Dollar Index advancement on better USA home sales in month of march.

  • Oil price slip from 2019 high but, Brent Oil still above psychological level $74.00 per barrel.

  • Currency and Indices future expiry on 25th April 2019.

INTRADAY RANGE - 69.32 ( 69.48 - 69.90 ) 70.14

  • On Tuesday, The rupee appreciated by 10 pips to 69.52 against the US dollar ahead of the RBI's second round of dollar-rupee swap auction.

  • The currency was also buoyed on reports that India has lined up alternate sources to make up for likely shortfall in crude supplies.

  • Interbank Foreign Exchange market, the domestic unit opened higher at 69.62 against the dollar then rose further to quote at 69.52. The Pair finished trade at par level 69.62/63.

  • The dollar hovered near a 22-month high against its peers on Wednesday, after strong U.S. housing data further eased concerns of a slowdown in the world's biggest economy.
