Happy Monday, We are expecting USDINR likely to commence between 74.30 – 74.35 level as greenback traded close to a 16-month high to the euro on Monday on growing anxiety over the impact of surging COVID-19 infections in Europe, with Austria re-imposing a full lockdown and Germany considering following suit.


  • The fourth wave of infections has plunged Germany, Europe's largest economy, into a national emergency, Health Minister Jens Spahn said, warning that vaccinations alone will not cut case numbers.


  • On Saturday, Indian police said they had charged senior executives of Amazon.com's local unit under narcotics laws in a case of alleged marijuana smuggling via the online retailer.


  • India's economic advisory council to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expects the country's growth to range between 7% and 7.5% in the next fiscal year and that the next budget should have a clear roadmap for privatising state-owned assets.
