USDINR LIKELY TO OPEN WITH MODERATE GAIN.


  • On Tuesday , Fx-methods expecting USDINR looks open with moderate gain after yesterday 28 pips slipped.

  • We expecting rupee looks open between 69.53/60 against greenback.

  • Indian Bond yields hurting rupee sentiment after yesterday sharp recovery from Friday lows (6.91%).

  • Oil tumble from recent upper levels can give some cushion to domestic pair.

  • Domestic equities and foreign fund inflows supported the rupee and capped its losses to some extent.

  • On Monday, The rupee surrendered all its early gains and closed 19 pips lower at 69.65 against the US dollar amid strengthening of the greenback against Asian currencies and rising crude oil prices.

  • The interbank foreign exchange, domestic currency opened at 69.45 a dollar and gained further strength to touch a high of 69.38 during the day.

  • The domestic currency, however, could not hold on to the gains and fell to 69.68. The rupee finally settled at 69.65 a dollar.
